Our Courses

Simply, we've had too much knowledge to keep to ourselves — and our communities have waited long enough. The climate space is a vessel — a window of opportunity for our communities to leapfrog the systemic barriers that were never supposed to be moved. In this space, the rules are still being written.

We got tired of waiting for a seat at the table in rooms that lacked culture, representation, and creativity — so we built our own. And we intend to create more spaces where we set the tables and hold the pens. These courses exist because the knowledge, jobs, and opportunities have always belonged to us. We're just bringing them home.

What We'll Cover
01
The Environment Is Us
Before we can step into the opportunities that exist in the climate and clean energy space, we must first see ourselves in this space — and remember that we have always been here. This is a homecoming journey. We ground ourselves in our ancestral and cultural relationship with the environment, especially through the lens of people of color. We will explore the historical mechanisms — such as capitalism, colonization, and systemic displacement — that severed communities of color from the land and from each other, and that have catalyzed the environmental justice movement as we know it today. Understanding that history is not just context. It is the foundation for everything that follows.
